Legendary manager Tony La Russa was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014, after 35 seasons of managing in the Major Leagues. He began his career with the Chicago White Sox, but found the most success with the Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals. La Russa won three pennants and a World Series with the Athletics, and three pennants and two World Series with the Cardinals.

This jersey was issued to La Russa during the 2011 season, his final one as a manager. It is a St. Louis home jersey, and it features “Cardinals” in red chenille stitching on the front below the iconic birds-on-a-bat Cardinals logo. La Russa’s number “10” is sewn on the front and back in red-on-navy tackle twill. “LARUSSA” is sewn across the back shoulders in red-on-navy tackle twill. A MLB logo is sewn on the outside back collar. A Majestic size “46” tag is sewn on the front left tail, while a Majestic “COOL BASE” flag is sewn on the left side. The underarm material is made of white mesh. La Russa signed the “0” on the back, adding the inscriptions “2011 W.S. Champions” and “Happy Flight” in black marker. “H / F 2014” is inscribed on the “1” in black marker. These signatures come with a PSA/DNA COA (AC87175). The jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ 625487). Also included in this lot is a pair of team issued home pants. The tag on the inside of the waistband reads “LaRussa 10 34-35 29 C ’11 P1”.
