Dave Kingman wore this green Oakland Athletics alternate jersey during the 1984 MLB season, his first with the A’s. The 35-year old Kingman had a career year in 1984, crushing 35 homers with a career-high 118 RBI and a MLB-best 14 sacrifice flies. Kingman hit .268 in 1984, his highest batting average since posting a .278 mark in 1980 with the Chicago Cubs. This green pullover jersey has “OAKLAND” sewn across the chest in white and yellow tackle twill. “KINGMAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill over a white and yellow tackle twill “10”. The sleeves and collar are accented with green and yellow. A Rawlings size “46” tag with a “Set 1 1984” flag is sewn on the inside tail of this jersey. The jersey displays moderate wear. Kingman has signed the chest of this jersey in black marker, inscribing “1984 D.H.” below his signature. The three-time All-Star has also signed the “1” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker, inscribing “1984 D.H. of the Year” and “35 HR 118 RBI” on the “0” digit. This item comes with a COA from JSA (CC55401) for Kingman’s signatures and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
