Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria wore this pink-accented Mother’s Day jersey during road games against the Boston Red Sox on May 13th and 14th, 2017. The Red Sox won the first game 6-3 at Fenway, but the Rays turned up the heat on the 14th and soundly defeated the Sox 11-2. Longoria went 2-4 with two RBI in the second game, opening the scoring in the first inning with a sacrifice fly off Drew Pomeranz. Longoria plated Steven Souza with a seventh-inning single to increase the Rays lead to 4-2. Longoria added a second single in the ninth inning, scoring a few batters later to push the Rays advantage to 6-2. 2017 turned out to be Longoria’s final year with the Rays, and he turned in an excellent Triple Crown slash line of .261/20/86 with 36 doubles and a Gold Glove nod at the end of the season.
This offered button-down road jersey has “RAYS” sewn across the chest in pink, dark gray, and white tackle twill.
