Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Bo Belinsky wore this white Angels home flannel jersey during the 1964 MLB season. This was the fourth MLB season for Los Angeles’ Junior Circuit ballclub, and their home games took place at Dodger Stadium. Belinsky provided a strong arm in the second half of the Angels starting rotation, going 9-8 with a sparkling 2.86 ERA in 22 starts. The charismatic Belinsky became a fan-favorite in Los Angeles after pitching a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles in the fourth start of his career in 1962.
This flannel Angels jersey has “ANGELS” sewn across the chest in vibrant red and blue felt. Belinksy’s number “36” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and blue felt. Please note that the “6” exhibits a minor instance of loose stitching. The sleeves and collar are accented with a navy-red-navy band. Four ventilation holes are present under each armpit. A Spalding tag is sewn on the back inside collar and a washing instructions tag is sewn on the inside of the front left tail. “Belinsky 44 64” is embroidered in blue on the front left tail. Belinsky has signed the right chest of this jersey in black marker, inscribing “5/5/62 No-Hitter” below his signature. This jersey comes with a COA from JSA (CC16971) for Belinsky’s signature and a LOA from MEARS (315775), who have graded this jersey an excellent A8.5.
