Cincinnati Reds legend and 1977 National League MVP George Foster wore this gray Reds pullover road jersey during the 1981 MLB season, his last year at Riverfront Stadium. Foster played in all 108 of the Reds games in 1981, hitting 22 homers with 90 RBI and a .295 batting average for the National League West Division champs. Foster made the National League All-Star team for the fourth time while also winning a Silver Slugger and finishing third in the National League MVP race.
This gray Reds pullover has “CINCINNATI” sewn across the chest in red tackle twill. Foster’s number “15” is sewn on the chest and back in red tackle twill. “FOSTER” is sewn above the “15” on the back of the jersey in red tackle twill. A Wilson size “42” tag and a “81 1” swatch are sewn on the front left tail. This jersey shows light to moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
