Offered here is a trio of baseball-themed tintype photographs dating to the 19th century. The first photograph shows two ballplayers standing next to each other, with one gripping a baseball and the other holding what appears to be an early catcher’s mask. The second photograph shows three baseball players, with two seated and one standing. The two seated players are gripping a shared bat, while the standing player is resting a hand on one shoulder of each seated player. The corners of this tintype are altered slightly. The third tintype shows tree players seated next to each other, each holding onto a piece of baseball equipment. Each tintype measures approximately 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
