Cuccinello, an All-Star the previous season, had a career year in 1934, setting new personal marks in home runs (14) and RBI (94) for Casey Stengel’s Dodgers. Cuccinello signed with the Dodgers for $6,750 for the 1934 season, and he would play one more season for Brooklyn before joining the Boston Bees.
