Brothers Paul and Lloyd Waner hold the career record for hits by siblings, the duo surpassing both the three DiMaggio’s and the three Alou’s. The two Waner’s were dubbed “Big Poison” (Paul) and “Little Poison” (Lloyd) which in the unique Brooklyn accent translated to “big person” and “little person”. This offered bat dates to older brother Paul’s 1936 and 1937 seasons during which he led the National League with a .373 average and added 437 to his career total of 3,152. The Hillerich & Bradsby bat is un-cracked and displays heavy use. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. Many ball marks stitch impressions are visible on the barrel along with green bat rack paint streaks. A light coat of pine tar is found on the upper handle. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10904) for the game use.
