Maris, who would go on to break Ruth’s record with his 61st home run on the final day of the regular season, took Orioles starter Jack Fisher deep for a solo home run in the third inning to reach the 60 home run mark. Offered here is an encapsulated ticket stub to the Yankees-Orioles game on September 26th, 1961.
