Presented here is the Hall of Fame halfback Lenny Moore’s Standard Players Contract for the 1961 season between himself and the Baltimore Colts. Moore, selected by the Colts in the first round of the 1956 NFL Draft, played his entire career for Baltimore, winning two NFL championships and making five First Team All-Pro squads. Moore rushed for 5,174 yards and caught 363 passes for 6,039 yards while scoring 111 total touchdowns during his stellar career. In 1961, Moore rushed for 648 and seven scores while catching 49 passes for 728 yards and eight touchdowns. Moore, a member of the NFL’s 1950’s All-Decade Team, earned a spot in the Pro Bowl and on the 1961 First Team All-Pro team. Moore retired after the 1967 season, and in 1975 the former Penn State star was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This contract, for the sum of $19,500, has been signed in blue pen by Moore and the Colts executive vice-president Don Kellett. This contract comes with a LOA from JSA (Z67469).
