Mark McGwire, the Oakland A’s star, followed up his Rookie of the Year season by hammering 32 home runs during the 1988 season, including consecutive game winning homers on July 3rd and 4th, both in the 16th inning! His 99 RBI helped the A’s win the pennant and establish Big Mac as the premier slugger in the AL. The Rawlings 256B model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. The barrel shows several ball marks and scuffs and a moderate coat of pine tar is found mid-handle. McGwire’s number “25” has been hand written on both ends in black marker. McGwire has signed the barrel “To Jeff, Best Always” in black marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13651) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9, plus a LOA from JSA (Z67456) for the signature.
