Offered here is a ticket from the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals game at Veterans Stadium on August 10th, 1981. This was Philadelphia and St. Louis’ first regular season game after the 1981 player’s strike, and it finished 7-3 in favor of St. Louis. Phillies first baseman Pete Rose recorded the 3,631st hit of his career in this game, passing the legendary Stan Musial for the most hits in National League history. Rose would finish his career with the most hits in Major League history, with his 4,256 base hits surpassing Ty Cobb’s 4,189.
