Offered here is a ticket stub from Game 2 of the 1926 World Series between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals at Yankee Stadium. Led by Pete Alexander’s 10-strikeout, complete game performance, the Cardinals stole a 6-2 win over the Yankees in the Bronx. Billy Southworth crushed a three-run homer for the Cardinals, and Tommy Thevenow rounded out the scoring with an inside-the-park homer in the top of the ninth.
