Babe Ruth powered the Yankees to a 15-4 home victory through his 30th homer of the season and the 546th of his career, a three-run shot off Tommy Thomas in the seventh inning. Harry Rice, Bubbles Hargrave, Ben Chapman, and George Pipgras all drove in two runs, while Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, and Samuel Byrd knocked in New York’s remaining three runs.
