Houston Rockets forward Mario Elie wore this white Rockets home jersey during the 1994 NBA Playoffs and Finals, where the Rockets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz and the New York Knicks. Elie was a key contributor off the bench for the Rockets during the 1993-94 NBA season, scoring 9.3 points and dishing 3.1 dimes per game in his first campaign in Houston. Elie played 23 games in the postseason for the Rockets, scoring 5.8 points per game as a do-it-all utility man for Rudy Tomjanovich’s Rockets.

The Rockets march in the postseason of 1994 earned the franchise's first-ever NBA title after two previous appearances. The 1994 NBA Finals against the Knicks was a seven-game classic in which Houston won Games 6 & 7 at home to secure the championship. The series was dominated by Hakeem Olajuwon and the defense of both teams, with neither the Knicks nor the Rockets scoring more than 93 points in any of the Finals’ seven games. Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 took place at The Summit, the Rockets’ home arena, with Houston winning Games 1, 6, and 7 to clinch the Finals.

This home white Rockets jersey has “ROCKEtS” and Elie’s number “17” sewn on the chest in red tackle twill and has been photo matched to three playoff games - the May 21st Game 7 victory over the Suns in the Western Conference Semi-Finals, the May 25th Game 2 victory over the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference Finals and the June 22nd Game 7 of the clinching NBA Finals by Resolution Photomatching. “ELIE” and a second “17” are sewn on the back of the jersey in red tackle twill. The sleeve and collar openings are ringed with a red and yellow band. A Rockets “Body Length +2” and Champion size “42” tags are sewn on the front left tail. A “#17” is handwritten on the Champion tag in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from Mario Elie himself. Additionally, there is a LOA from Resolution Photomatching (426176), who have photo matched this jersey to three playoff games, including Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
