Jackie Robinson and his UCLA football teammates have signed this train meal receipt dated to October 8th, 1939. UCLA defeated the Washington Huskies on October 7th at Husky Stadium, claiming a 14-7 victory on their way to an undefeated season. This offered receipt has been signed by Jackie Robinson, Kenny Washington, Woody Strode, Ray Bartlett, Clark George, Ted Jones, Jack Sommers, Robin Williams, Frank Carroll, Art Anderson, Nate DeFrancisco, Doug Schwartz, Stuart McKenzie, Ray Terry, Robert Simpson, and several others. The signatures have been written in blue pen. Handwritten on the top of the receipt is “10-8-39 Received from Young Mens Club of Westwood $10.00 Drawing Account Loan”. This historic signed item comes with a LOA from JSA (BB12012).
