The Orioles played the Tampa Bay Rays at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on the 24th, with Machado starting the game at the hot corner. Machado connected on the 86th homer of his career and his 18th of the 2016 season in this game, taking Rays reliever Steve Geltz deep on a 2-2 count for a solo homer. The Orioles won this game 6-3, with Ashur Tolliver earning the first and only win of his MLB career for the O’s. Machado finished the game 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
