Tommy Henrich made his big-league debut in 1937 wearing the uniform of his favorite team - the New York Yankees. From that time through 1950 Henrich was the Yank’s most dependable player, leading to his nickname, “Old Reliable.” In 1938, his first full season, Henrich helped New York win the pennant and his home run in Game 4 of the World Series helped the Yanks complete their 4-game sweep of the Cubs.
Old Reliable’s rookie era Hillerich & Bradsby Pre-Model bat shows good use and is un-cracked. The barrel has been signed by Henrich with the inscription “My Rookie Bat.” A tremendous gamer from the first season of one of the Yankees finest outfielders. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05996) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU10, plus a MEARS hologram (304163) for the game use, along with a LOA from JSA (Z59961) for the signature.
