Offered in this lot are two Derrick Rose game jerseys from his time with the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks. The first jersey, a red Bulls road jersey, is from the 2014-15 NBA season, when Rose averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 assists per game. This red jersey has “BULLS” applied to the chest in black and white lettering. Rose’s number “1” is sewn on the chest and back in black mesh over white and red tackle twill. “ROSE” is sewn across the back shoulders in black and white tackle twill below a NBA logo patch and a six-time NBA champions tag. An Adidas size “XL” tag and a NBA Authentics tag are sewn on the front left tail. Rose has signed the “1” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker.
The second jersey, a blue Knicks road jersey, is from the 2016-17 NBA season, Rose’s lone season with the Knicks. The former MVP averaged 18.0 points and 4.4 assists per game in 64 games with the Knicks. This jersey has “NEW YORK” applied to the chest in orange, white, and silver. Rose’s number “25” is sewn on the chest and back in orange mesh over white and blue tackle twill. “ROSE” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill below a NBA logo and a two-time NBA champions tag. A Knicks 70th Anniversary patch is applied to the upper right chest. An Adidas size “XL” tag with illegible black marker handwriting is sewn on the front left tail next to a NBA Authentics tag. A “Once a Knick. Always A Knick.” tag is sewn on the front left tail. Rose has signed the “2” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker. These game jerseys were gifted to Tyronn Lue by Rose. Tyronn Lue has provided a LOA for each jersey, stating that to the best of his knowledge the jerseys were game issued and possibly game used, but he cannot confirm game use because the jerseys were not taken off the back of Rose when presented to him. Additionally, a LOA from JSA authenticates each signature (Z32981, Z32982). Please note that Tyronn Lue is donating 100% of his proceeds from the sale of this item to the United Methodist Church of Mexico, Missouri.
