After just five years in the majors, Albert Pujols was already reaching rarified territory - his 117 RBI's that year made him, along with Ted William, Joe DiMaggio and Al Simmons, the only player in history to rack up 100 or more RBI in his first five seasons in the majors. Already there was talk of Pujols being the greatest Cardinal since Stan Musial, quite a compliment. Besides those 117 RBI, Pujols ended 2005 with a .330 average, 41 homers and 195 hits earning him his first of three NL MVP Awards.

Pujols used this Louisville Slugger I13L model bat during his MVP 2005 season. This bat displays excellent game use and has crack in the handle. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and black streaks present on the barrel. Pujols’ number “5” is affixed to the knob on a Schutte sticker. Pujols has signed his name in black marker on the barrel and inscribed “5”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13871) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8 and a LOA from JSA (Y06074) for his signature.
