Offered in this lot are four pairs of batting gloves worn by Nelson Cruz. The first pair are gray and blue Nike Hyperfuse MVP batting gloves worn on May 16th, 2017 by the Mariners slugger against the Oakland A’s. Seattle fell 9-6 despite Cruz’s solo home run, his 10th of the season. These batting gloves have a silver Nike swoosh logo applied to the top of the hand and a silver and white “MVP” logo on the wrist strap. Cruz has signed the palm of each glove in black marker. These gloves come with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 022890, JC 022891) and a COA from JSA (DD03945, DD03946).

The second and third pair of gloves were also worn during the May 16th game. These gloves are white and gray, with a silver and white Nike swoosh applied to the top of the hand and a silver and white “MVP” logo applied to each wrist strap. Cruz has signed the palm of each glove in black marker. These gloves come with MLB Authenticated holograms (JC 022892, JC 022893, JC 022894, JC 022895) and COAs from JSA (DD03939, DD 03940, DD03941, DD03942).

The final pair of gloves in this lot were worn by Cruz during the 2017 World Baseball Classic while playing for the Dominican Republic national team. In six games at the WBC, Cruz hit .417 with three homers and five RBI. These Franklin gloves are navy and red, with a white Franklin logo and a WBC logo applied to the top of the gloves. A Dominican flag is applied to the top of each wrist strap, while a second Franklin logo is located on the underside of each wrist. Cruz has signed the palm of each glove in black marker.
