This game-ready first baseman’s glove was manufactured for the 500 Home Run Club member Gary Sheffield in 2010. Sheffield, a career .292 hitter and the 1992 National League batting champion, was granted his free agency from the New York Mets at the end of the 2009 season but did not sign with a Sheffield has signed the MLB team in 2010. First base would have been a new adventure for the 1986 first round pick, as he played only 57 innings at first during his career, all with the New York Yankees in 2006. This offered Rawlings Pro Sheff 500 model glove features a dual post “H” web and a Rawlings tag sewn on the wrist. A “The Gold Glove Co.” tag is sewn on the pinky and a red Rawlings logo is located on the thumb. “Sheff” is embroidered on the thumb in red. Sheffield has signed the glove in silver marker. This glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00549) and a LOA from JSA (Z59975).
