McKinley, the last president to have served in the Civil War, inhabited the White House from 1897 until his assassination in 1901. McKinley has signed this offered cut in black steel-tip fountain pen. Printed on the top of the cut is “State of Ohio / Executive Chamber / Columbus” in blue letters.
