This offered tintype from the 1880s depicts a well-dressed ballplayer standing up with his right leg crossed over his straight left leg in full uniform and holding his hat in his right hand. The photo appears to have been taken in a studio with a country-themed background. This tintype is housed in a protective brass case that has a split spine (very common) and measures approximately 3 x 4 inches. The opposite side of the photo has a red crushed velvet display and the exterior is made of leather. This item is in overall good condition given its age with typical edge wear and fading.
