Offered here is nice baseball photo tintype from the 1880s of a player in a light-colored uniform with matching and knee-high socks leaning on what appears to be a prop of a pier. The player is looking to the left away from the camera, leaning on the pier with his right wrist and holding a bat in his left hand from his thigh to the ground. This photograph appears to have been taken in a studio with a seaport background. The photo itself is housed in a foldout brass case that measures approximately 3 ¼ x 3 ¾ inches. There are dirt marks on the covering of the photo and the binding is still fully intact. This item is in overall good condition given its age and displays surface fading and edge wear.
