Hall of Fame closer Dennis Eckersley spent his last two seasons in the National League with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1996 and 1997. As a relief pitcher “Eck” only had one plate appearance and used this Louisville Slugger S2 model bat. This bat displays outstanding game use and has a crack on the center brand. There are ball marks, black streaks, red bat rack streaks and cleat imprints present on the barrel. Eckersley’s number “43” has been handwritten on the knob and top barrel in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12900) for the game use and notes in their LOA that based on the amount of use on this bat and given that Eckersley only had one plate appearance during this bat’s labeling period, it is most likely that this bat was also used for batting practice.
