Babe Ruth made his first of 10 World Series appearances in 1915 as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. Ruth’s Junior Circuit squad matched up against the Philadelphia Phillies in what would end up being an extremely one-sided affair. The Red Sox defeated the Phillies in five games, with Rube Foster, Dutch Leonard, and Ernie Shore earning victories for the Sox. Offered here is a ticket for the clinching fifth game, with Rube Foster defeating Eppa Rixey 5-4 at Baker Bowl in Philadelphia. Harry Hooper hit two solo home runs in this game, and Duffy Lewis knocked in two runs of his own, while Jack Barry contributed an RBI on a second inning single to open the scoring for Boston. Fred Luderus homered and drove in three RBI for the Phillies, who would next make the World Series in 1950. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a PR 1 by PSA (15461049).
