Eddie Cicotte threw a complete game for Chicago to earn the win, while a Happy Felsch homer in the fourth inning gave Chicago their winning margin. Slim Sallee pitched a complete game of his own for New York, knocking in their only run of the game on a fifth inning single to score catcher Lew McCarty.
