The Chicago White Sox won their second World Series title in 1917, defeating the New York Giants in a six game World Series. Red Faber won three games for the White Sox, and Eddie Collins hit .429 to catalyze the Chicago offense. Offered in this lot is a ticket to Game 6 of the 1917 World Series, a 4-2 White Sox victory at Polo Grounds to clinch the World Series title. The ironman Faber pitched a complete game to earn the win for Chicago, while Rube Benton picked up the loss for New York despite not allowing an earned run. Chick Gandil knocked home a pair of runs for Chicago and Buck Herzog recorded both RBI for the Giants. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a PR-FR 1 by PSA (04632719).
