Former Baltimore Orioles star Manny Machado used this Rawlings MY13 model bat for the last time on April 7th, when he broke it during a double he hit off of New York Yankees’ pitcher Sonny Gray in the top of the third inning at Yankee Stadium. The day before, Machado used this very bat to hit two home runs of Yankees’ pitcher C.C. Sabathia in the Orioles 7-3 victory. These were his first two home runs of the season and those home runs, both solo shots, came in his first two at-bats in the first and third innings. This bat displays outstanding game use and has a crack on the handle with an approximate 4 ½ -inch piece of wood missing. The barrel has ball marks, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints displayed. There is a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel and the knob has stamped the bat’s manufacture date “03/26/18”, “MM13” and the order number “306-18”. This bat has been photo matched to the April 6th game in which Machado hit the two home runs by Resolution Photomatching and a LOA (425942) will accompany this item. Additionally, there is a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC283135) which authenticates that this bat was broken during the top of the third-inning at-bat where Machado hit a double.
