This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball was used during Game 2 of the 2006 American League Division Series between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees. The Tigers won Game 2 of this series, evening the matchup at one game apiece, after defeating Mike Mussina and the Yanks at Yankee Stadium by a score of 4-3. Johnny Damon knocked in all three runs for the Yankees with a fourth inning three-run homer off Justin Verlander. Curtis Granderson plated two for the Tigers, while Carlos Guillen homered and Marcus Thames finished 3-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. The Tigers went on to win this series in four games, capped off by a Jeremy Bonderman victory over Jamey Wright in the final game. The Tigers advanced to the World Series, where they fell to the St. Louis Cardinals in five games. This offered baseball has been signed on the sweet spot by Derek Jeter in blue pen.
