Former Boston Red Sox great Rico Petrocelli played his entire career with the Red Sox and was key contributor to the beloved “Impossible Dream” team that won the 1967 American League pennant. Petrocelli wore this size 42 McAuliffe Red Sox road gray pullover jersey during the 1975 season, the second season in which Petrocelli reached the World Series. This jersey features “BOSTON” sewn on in Tuscan font across the chest in red and navy tackle twill. Petrocelli’s number “6” is sewn on the back in red and navy tackle twill. The V-neck collar has a red/navy/red striping pattern and the “1975” tag and wash tag are sewn on the base of the center front tail. The McAuliffe and size 42 tags are sewn on the inside back collar. This jersey displays moderate game use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
