Minnesota Twins outfielder Torii Hunter wore this pinstriped Twins button-down home jersey during the 2000 MLB season. The 24-year old Hunter split the season between AAA and the Show, hitting .280 with five homers, seven triples, 44 RBI, and 44 runs scored in 99 games. Hunter would play 12 seasons with the Twins, hitting 214 homers and driving in 792 runs for the AL Central ballclub.
This offered Minnesota jersey has “TWINS”, a paraph, and Hunter’s number “48” sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill. A second “48” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy tackle twill. “HUNTER” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill over a matching white nameplate without pinstripes. A Twins 40th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve while a “CRG” memorial patch for Cal Griffith, a “TC” Twins logo patch, and a Russell Athletic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. A circa 1995-99 Russell Athletic size “48” tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey, which was carried over to the 2000 season for use by Hunter. A “48-00-1” tag is sewn below the Russell tag, which features “100% Polyester” and “2[inch] Extra Length” flags attached. A Velcro patch is sewn inside the placket of the jersey between the second and third buttons. Hunter has signed the “4” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey shows light to moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. There is a COA from Beckett Authentication Services.
