The Hall of Famer Al Simmons has signed this George Burke photograph of himself in his Chicago White Sox uniform. Simmons, a standout for the Philadelphia Athletics early in his career, played for the White Sox from 1933 through 1935, earning an All-Star Game nod in each season. Simmons has signed this photograph in black pen, inscribing “To my friend Jerry Graham / A great fellow. / Plenty of good luck” and “August 24th, 1936”. Simmons played for the Detroit Tigers in 1936, hitting .327 with 13 homers, 112 RBI, and 96 runs scored. This photograph measures 6.5 x 9.5 inches and comes with a LOA from JSA (BB12034).
