The Baltimore Orioles brought the teenager Manny Machado up to the Majors in August of 2012. In his second game, Manny hit not one, but two home runs, making him the youngest Oriole and 12th youngest player in history to record two home runs in a game. The next season would see Machado make his first All-Star Game and win his first Gold Glove Award at third base.

This rookie-year Louisville Slugger S318 model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel and the lower handle has been taped in a spiral patter all the way to knob to enhance the grip. The bat’s knob has stamped on it the manufacture date “09/05/12” along with the length/weight “34.0/31.0”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16641) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
