The Hall of Fame big man Moses Malone was presented with this commemorative award by the National Basketball Association after leading the league in rebounding during the 1981-82 NBA season. Malone, in the second of five straight years leading the NBA in rebounding, averaged an outstanding double-double of 31.1 points and 14.7 rebounds per game for the Houston Rockets. Malone earned his second NBA MVP trophy in 1981-82, and he would go on to claim his third in the following season. Malone retired after the 1994-95 NBA season as the last active former ABA player, and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.

This offered award is a quartz clock affixed to an 18 x 12-inch wooden plaque. The clock, which measures 8.5 x 8.5 inches, is missing the minute hand and several slight scratches are present on the face. A placard affixed to this award reads “Moses Malone / Houston Rockets / NBA Rebounding Champion / 1981-82”. A circular NBA logo is placed on the upper corner of the plaque. A gold statuette of a basketball player is affixed to the plaque. This historic award is a terrific display piece for any serious NBA fan! It is accompanied by a LOA signed by Michael Malone.
