The Hall of Fame center Moses Malone was presented with this commemorative award by the NBA after leading the league in rebounding during the 1983-84 season. The Sixers big man led his team in both scoring (22.7) and rebounding (13.4) as Philadelphia stormed to a 52-30 record. Malone led the NBA in rebounding for the fourth of five consecutive seasons and was named to the All-NBA Second Team. Malone retired after the 1994-95 NBA season, and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.
This offered award is a quartz clock affixed to an 18 x 12-inch wooden plaque. The clock, which measures 8.5 x 8.5 inches, is in good condition. A placard affixed to this award reads “Moses Malone / Philadelphia 76ers / NBA Rebounding Champion / 1983-84”. A circular NBA logo is placed on the upper corner of the plaque. A gold statuette of a basketball player is affixed to the plaque. This award is in good condition and is a peerless display piece for any collection. It is accompanied by a LOA signed by Michael Malone.
