Hammerin’ Hank Aaron made his MLB debut on April 13th, 1954 during the Milwaukee Braves visit to Crosley Field to take on the Cincinnati Redlegs. Aaron, still only 20 years old at the time of his debut, hit fifth in the Braves batting order, finishing hitless in Milwaukee’s 9-8 loss to the Redlegs. Joe Nuxhall, the youngest player in MLB history at the time of his debut, earned the win for Cincinnati while Chet Nichols ate the loss. Offered in this lot is a scored scorebook from the April 13th contest between the Redlegs and the Braves. The scorecard has been scored in gray pencil. This item is in good condition, with all pages bound and present. A picture of Redlegs skipper Birdie Tebbetts, later Aaron’s manager with the Braves, graces the front cover.
