In 1968, the future American League MVP Thurman Munson played his first season of professional ball for the Binghamton Triplets of the AA Eastern League. Munson hit .301 in 71 games, adding six homers and 37 RBI for the Yankees farm team. Offered in this lot is a souvenir scorebook from a Triplets road game against the Elmira Pioneers from the 1968 season. The scorebook is scored in blue pen. The front cover of this unique souvenir has been signed by Munson and Tim O’Connell, a 31st-round draft pick of the Yankees in the 1968 MLB Draft. A first baseman, O’Connell played four seasons in the Yankees farm system. Both men have signed the cover of this scorebook in blue pen. This scorebook comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (I01993).
