While the 1951 New York Yankees season was notable for yet another World Series championship, another factor made it a unique season in Bronx folklore. If American League pitchers were pleased that Joe DiMaggio was in his final year in pinstripes, they were unaware that a rookie named Mickey Mantle was a budding legend in his own right.

This offered Official National League Ford C. Frick baseball has been signed by 25 members of the 1951 World Champion New York Yankees. Given that this team-signed baseball is on a National League baseball, it’s a distinct possibility that this orb was signed on or around the World Series. Hall of Famer Yogi Berra signed his name on the north panel, along with Gil McDougald, Jerry Coleman, Tom Morgan, Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle in what is a great rookie signature, Allie Reynolds and Eddie Lopat. The east panel has the signatures of Hank Bauer, Jim Brideweser, Billy Martin and Vic Raschi.

The west panel has the signatures of Joe Ostrowski, Johnny Sain, Stub Overmire, Bb Kuzava and Hall of Famer Phil Rizzuto. The south panel has the signatures of Gene Woodling, Ralph Houk, Joe Collins, Charlie Silvera, Johnny Mize, Bobby Brown and Bobby Hogue. The clubhouse signature of Joe Dimaggio is on the sweet spot. This ball displays toning and all of the signatures have been penned in black ink and are clear. The stampings are still solid and this ball comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
