Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. This is one of two examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of 24 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. The final game of the 1982 NCAA Basketball Tournament was a thrilling contest, featuring Michael Jordan and James Worthy’s North Carolina squad matching up against Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas. It was the 19-year-old Jordan, not yet a superstar, who hit the game winning shot, rising from the left wing to finalize the score at 63-62 in favor of the Tar Heels. This is widely considered MJ’s launching point, the transformative event that put him on the path to becoming the greatest player in basketball history. The game took place in the Louisiana Superdome on March 29th, 1982. This full ticket has been encapsulated by PSA (41864916) and has been graded an EX – MT 6.
