Few players in recent memory have had such an immediate impact not just on their team, but on the game of baseball, as Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder Mike Trout. Since his first call up to the Major Leagues in 2011 at the age of 19, Trout’s legend has grown exponentially. In just four seasons, Trout has been named to four All-Star games (twice being named MVP of the game), won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 2012 and the American League MVP in 2014 (finishing second the other three seasons).

On April 17, 2015, he became the youngest player in MLB history to reach 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases. Offered is what can be considered the pre-eminent Mike Trout jersey. This size 48 Majestic button-down Angels alternate red jersey was worn for 28 games during the 2015 season in which he belted a career-high 41 home runs. In this age of sports memorabilia, players will often wear, often for just a game or a home stand, numerous jerseys throughout the season as professional teams look to market their stars. Yet here we have a modern jersey worn for an extended period of time, accumulating a staggering amount of production by the young star and truly offering a tremendous opportunity to acquire a centerpiece for the advanced collection.

Nine of Trout’s career-high 41 home runs came while he was wearing this jersey for the selected games, which included 42 hits, 19 of them of the extra base hit variety (eight doubles, two triples), 21 RBI and 22 runs scored. The jersey shows the evidence of being washed many times over due to the wrinkled wash tag, puckering of the numbers and multiple loose stitching threads on the numbers and letters are visible. “ANGELS” is arched across the chest in red, navy blue, white and silver tackle twill with the number “27” on the left chest. The collar and sleeves have a white/silver/white piping pattern each sleeve has a patch with the right sleeve having an “A” with a halo sewn on, while the left sleeve has a sewn on “ANGELS BASEBALL 1961” circular patch. “TROUT” and his “27” are sewn directly to the back of the jersey in the same red, navy blue, white and silver pattern. The Majestic manufacturer’s tag is heat-pressed on the bottom front left tail and the MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck. Trout’s 2015 home runs hit with this jersey include: number 6 off of San Francisco’s Tim Hudson on May 2nd, number 7 off Roenis Elias of the Mariners on May 5th, number 13 off Tampa Bay’s Alex Colome on June 1st, number 17 off of Colome again on June 11th, numbers 23 and 24 off of Colorado’s Chris Rusin on July 8th, number 25 off of Mike Montgomery and number 26 off of Danny Farguhar of Seattle on July 10th, and number 36 off of Mariner’s ace Felix Hernandez on September 15th. Trout signed his name in black marker on the top of the number “2” on the back of his jersey and inscribed “15 G/U” on the middle of the “2”. On the “7”, he inscribed “HR #” across the top of the “7” and vertically he wrote the home run numbers of the 2015 season while wearing this jersey “6 7 13 17 23 24 25 26 36”.

This jersey comes with a full LOA from Anderson Authentics (1706), the official authenticator of Mike Trout, which covers the game use and his signature and inscriptions. Also included with this jersey is a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (180702A1) which authenticates use of this jersey by Trout and that they photo matched this jersey to 28 games (May 2, 6, 10, 18, 26, 27, 28; June 1, 2, 11, 13, 16, 18; July 8, 9, 10, 12, 23; August 3, 8, 18, 20, 21, 23, 27; September 1, 2 & 15) and that he hit nine home runs while wearing this jersey.
