Behind the potent bat of Josh Hamilton, the Texas Rangers won 90 games during the 2010 regular season, tops in the AL West. Hamilton led the league with a .359 batting average and also finished atop the AL with a massive .633 slugging percentage. He added 32 home runs, 40 doubles and 100 RBIs in winning the American League MVP. Vladimir Guerrero did plenty of damage of his own at the plate, hitting .300 with 29 homers and 115 RBIs. The pitching staff was led by C.J. Wilson, who went 15-8 with a 3.35 ERA. Texas defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Division Series, then triumphed over the New York Yankees - in six games - in the ALCS, before falling to the San Francisco Giants in the World Series.
