Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto used this bat in the May 22, 2010 “Battle of Ohio” game at Jacobs Field against the Indians. Votto was batting in the 9th when he broke the barrel hitting a ground out. The Big Stick Bat has been broken in two pieces and secured with adhesive tape. There is some small pieces of wood missing from the cracked area. The barrel shows many ball marks and abrasions with white leather ball scuffs. The barrel end has been marked with Votto’s number “19” and the knob end has been stamped with the bat’s specs and has his number “19” in silver pen. A heavy coat of pine tar is present on the handle. This bat comes with MLB Authenticated holograms (LH739944 & LH739945) for the game use.
