Presented is an 8-card complete set of Boys Magazine "Boxers" boxing cards issued in 1922. These approximately 1-7/8" x 3-1/16" were issued with "Boys Magazine" - a monthly issued magazine geared towards the young man which contained tales of adventure and suspense and also sought to improve character, encourage fitness and gain interest in hobbies and skills. The complete set includes: Johnnie Basham (trimmed), Joe Beckett (VG), Georges Carpentier (VG/EX), Jack Dempsey (VG/EX), Jim Higgins (VG/EX), Kid Lewis (VG/EX), Billy Wells (VG-) and Jimmie Wilde (GD/VG).
