Presented is a signature and inscription from Baseball Hall of Fame outfielder Joe Medwick on an Official National League baseball (Charles Feeney, President). Medwick has signed his name “Jos. Medwick” in blue pen on the sweet spot and inscribed “To John Nuetzel Best Wishes” above the sweet spot of the Spalding baseball.
A left fielder for the St. Louis Cardinals during the "Gashouse Gang" era of the 1930s, he also played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1940–1943, 1946), New York Giants (1943–1945), and Boston Braves (1945). A 10-time All-Star, “Ducky” Medwick was a key part of the 1934 World Series Champion Cardinals, and the National League MVP in 1937, the year he was the batting Triple Crown winner. Medwick is the last National League player to win the Triple Crown. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
