Jimmy Connors was the face of tennis during the 1970’s and 80’s, and no other tournament showcased his talent better than the US Open. Connors dominated the famed New York matches, completing the Grand Slam in 1975 and winning the Grand Slam singles championship in 1974, 1976, 1978, 1982 and 1983 and the Grand Slam Doubles in 1975. This is a racket cover he used during one of the US Opens. The yellow and purple Estusa racket cover shows moderate use and has been signed by Connors in green marker. The cover is accompanied by a signed and dated letter from Jimmy Connors stating that this is the cover used at the US Open in New York which he signed and gifted it to his coach, Doug Henderson.
