If there was never a Cy Young, the likely name for the best pitcher award would be known as the “Walter Johnson Award”. The lanky right hander was arguably the greatest pitcher of all time, winning a remarkable 410 games, while playing most of his career with the perennial last place Washington Senators.

Offered here is an Official American League E.S. Barnard stamped baseball signed and multi-inscribed by Walter Johnson. “The Big Train” signed his name across the sweet spot in black steel-tipped fountain pen with the inscription above his name “To Mrs. John S. Helena. Other inscriptions include “Tampa, Florida March 1, 1929” and “Courtesy Al Munro Elias”. A wonderful signed artifact from one of the greatest pitchers of all-time and this item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A52514).
