Perhaps the greatest designated hitter of all-time, Edgar Martinez rapped out 2,247 hits to the tune of a .312 lifetime batting average in his 18-year career all with the Seattle Mariners. Martinez wrapped tape around the handle of this Louisville Slugger M343 Edgar Martinez professional model bat which is also heavily coated with a 20-inch length of pine tar from the knob to the middle of the label. Multiple blue-ink ball marks, stitching and cleat impressions mark the bat's barrel. Martinez name and Seattle Mariners are darkly burned into the barrel. The Letter M and 30.8 are written in black ink on the knob.
