Seattle Mariners first baseman Tino Martinez wore this Mizuno MWV-301P first baseman’s glove during the 1994 MLB season, his penultimate year with the M’s. Martinez, in his fifth MLB season, set a new career-high in home runs despite playing only 97 in the strike-shortened campaign. Martinez finished the year with a Triple Crown slash line of .261/20/61, with his first All-Star appearance to come in the 1995 season. The four-time World Series champ played 82 games at first base in 1994, committing only two errors and finishing the season with a sterling .997 fielding percentage.
This offered first baseman’s glove is tan, with a Mizuno logo sewn over the wrist. A second Mizuno logo is sewn into the webbing of the glove. “T. Martinez” is embroidered on the thumb in red. Martinez has signed the top of this glove in black marker. The glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA for game use (1G00582) and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication Services.
